Live Like Sion
Sion Milosky will forever be an icon of our sport of surfing. Sion tragically passed on March 16, 2011 while surfing Mavericks. Sion’s dedication to big wave surfing raised the level as we know it. Whether it was Waimea Bay, Phantoms, Peahi, Mavericks or any Outer Reef, Sion’s passion and respect for the ocean was undeniable.
As committed as he was to surfing and the ocean, Sion’s dedication to his family came first, followed by his community.
Dedicated to keeping Sion’s legacy alive and sharing his values of family, friends and loved ones first, the Sion Milosky Foundation with the support of Volcom produces the Live Like Sion Gromfest, a grassroots surfing event held on the island of Kauai each year.
LIVE LIKE SION GROMFEST
Now in its 9th year running, the Live Like Sion Gromfest is expanding to more islands. The free events are based off the love that Sion Milosky had for the ocean and sharing it with his family and friends.

Details
For each event, the ages range from the Keiki push-in division (4-5 years old) which usually has 100 entries, to an 14 & under open division that features some of Hawaii’s best rated amateurs, as well as a very special division called “PILI” (combines adult & Keiki).
